Happy #13: Women of the Bible Study Guide

A few weeks ago, I posted about my new view of Martha. Some of my thoughts for this came from reading Legacy of Faith by Lydia Brownbeck, a study of the women of the Bible.

During the school year, I used this book to teach a teen girls' group. Some weeks, I had something useful to say about Sarah or Delilah or Mary Magdelene.  Some weeks, I was simply thankful to have the free PDF study guide.

Even if you aren't using this particular book, the study guide's questions and related Scripture passages will encourage you to teach and learn from the women of the Bible.

What's your go-to Bible study resource?

  1. I don't have a go-to Bible study resource, but I'm currently very much enjoying J.C. Ryle's Expository Thoughts on Matthew. I love that the sections are short enough for this busy mama to get a lot of meat in a short amount of time if necessary; and I do mean a lot of meat! He doesn't avoid stepping on my toes!

  2. Cristy Lynn, I was waiting for someone to answer my question with "um, the Bible?" :)

I, too, love J.C.Ryles' expository thoughts. Do you have the Daily Readings version? Rob and I used that in family worship for a few years before we had children.
